With regards to the night vision infra red on this type of camera – IT WILL NOT LIGHT UP A ROOM! Think about the amount of power you need for normal lighting. If that was in the same sized key fob how bright and how long would you expect it to be? Infra red needs more power than normal light so don’t expect a miracle. If this could light up a room it would get so hot from the infra red it would get so hot it would melt. You need a minimum of 40 watts of normal light for a camera to film anything decent and only 10 watts with this camera. The bonus here is the low light level camera (0.1 Lux) that is sensitive to invisible infra red light. If you must see in total darkness then use a infra red illuminator in the room that can be plugged into the mains.
